About the Role
As an Emergency Department Technician, you will function semi-independently as part of an integrated healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include providing timely patient care, establishing effective working relationships, and managing multiple demands in a fast-paced environment. You will utilize your knowledge and skills to meet the needs of patients across all age groups and developmental levels.
About You
Required:
- Knowledge necessary to obtain Emergency Medical Tech Certification.
- Current EMT Certification.
- Current Phlebotomy license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
