About the Role
As an Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing patients with diabetic disorders, implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, educating patients and families, collaborating with healthcare professionals, performing diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, managing chronic conditions, participating in clinical research, and maintaining patient records.
About You
Required:
- Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program.
- Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Minimum of two years of experience as an APP.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Preferred:
- Passion for Diabetic Management.
- Expectation within 3 years to obtain the Advanced Diabetes Management Board Certification.
