About the Role
As the Engineering Documents Manager, you will lead the engineering documentation and configuration management function across all engineering disciplines. Your responsibilities will include developing and enforcing Document Control Procedures, managing document lifecycle and workflow, facilitating Engineering Change Orders, maintaining revision control, and supporting audits by providing documentation traceability. You will also train and mentor staff on document control procedures and coordinate documentation requirements with suppliers.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Technical Communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering document control or configuration management in a defense, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and MIL-STD-973.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and process-development skills.
- Expert user of Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint.
Preferred:
- Experience managing configuration and documentation for High Energy Laser (HEL) or photonics-based systems.
- Certifications such as CMII or ECM.
- Familiarity with DoD Acquisition Lifecycle.
- Experience leading small teams of document control specialists.
