BKF Engineers is seeking an Engineering Manager - Land Development to join their team in Chico, CA. The role involves leading technical delivery of land development projects and mentoring junior staff.
About the Role
As an Engineering Manager - Land Development, you will be responsible for overseeing small to medium land development projects, ensuring high-quality design and execution. You will support financial management activities, supervise and mentor engineering staff, manage grading and utility design, and collaborate with design teams. Additionally, you will act as the primary client contact and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
About You
Required:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- 7+ years of progressive experience delivering land development projects.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of California.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or comparable civil design platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in grading, drainage, utility coordination, and land development infrastructure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.
