About the Role
As an Engineering Support (Fabrication Focus), you will be responsible for data entry, maintaining project documentation, conducting technical research on steel products, and assisting in customer and vendor communications. You will also support project coordination, prepare documentation, and provide general administrative support. Additionally, you will familiarize yourself with various steel fabrication processes and assist in understanding relevant standards and quality control practices.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in administrative, estimating, engineering support, or fabrication support roles a plus.
- Computer-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); CAD familiarity is a bonus.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn steel fabrication & manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with fabrication terminology (e.g., cutting, welding, finishing, machining) is advantageous.
Preferred:
- Prior experience or exposure to fabrication or manufacturing environments.
- Some understanding of CAD or drafting software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Tekla, etc.).
- Understanding of quality systems and fabrication standards (e.g., AISC certifications).
