About the Role
As an Engineering Technician (Mechanical), you will serve in the Hydraulic and Ship Control Systems Branch, providing technical leadership on urgent mission degrading casualty reports. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and testing various mechanical systems, participating in data collection and analysis, and performing functional checkouts of shipboard systems.
About You
Required:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Experience applying knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines (such as electrical, electronic, mechanical, structural, etc.)
- Experience resolving complex problems of assigned equipment systems to meet operational schedules.
- Experience applying knowledge of U.S. Navy specifications and regulations pertaining to design, maintenance, safety and operation of assigned equipment/systems.
