Summary
Motorola Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician - Soldering Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves collaborating with engineers to support the assembly of advanced wireless communication systems.
About the Role
As an Engineering Technician - Soldering Specialist, you will be responsible for printed circuit board SMD rework, custom wiring harness creation, and assisting with validation and testing of electronic equipment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality prototyping and testing of advanced communication systems.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Printed Circuit Board hand soldering with experience using lead-free solder.
- Certified with IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting PCB rework and mechanical assembly instructions.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of thermal interface materials, gaskets, thread locker, and conformal coating.
- Experience conducting IP rating testing.
- Basic Radio Frequency knowledge is a plus.
