L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Engineering Technician C for Optical and Mechanical Assembly on the 2nd Shift in Wilmington, MA. The role involves assembling various optical and mechanical components in a clean room environment.
About the Role
As an Engineering Technician C, you will be responsible for the assembly of optical and mechanical components, ensuring quality and efficiency in a Class 100 clean room. Your tasks will include lapping materials to tight tolerances, reading and analyzing manufacturing instructions and CAD models, diagnosing assembly issues, and improving manufacturing processes. You will work under limited supervision to meet operational targets and communicate effectively with various functions regarding assembly processes.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or post-Secondary/Associate Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior related experience.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience within a Class 100 (ISO 5) clean room.
- Good computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read drawings and/or schematics per industry specifications.
- Strong hands-on and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Familiarity with a variety of hand and test tools/equipment, including torque wrenches and multimeters.
