Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join their team in Cumberland County, PA. The role involves providing technical support and guidance on environmental and safety regulations, as well as construction coordination and operational assistance.
About the Role
As an Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for managing domestic water systems, wastewater systems, and central housing plants. Your duties will include preparing reports and permit applications, maintaining communication with regulatory agencies, and coordinating with outside contractors. You will also review project plans and specifications and assist in emergency staff relocations as part of the Continuity of Government Relocation Team.
About You
Required:
- Four years of professional experience in environmental engineering, and possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate; or
- Three years of professional experience in environmental engineering, and possession of a valid Professional Engineer license; or
- Two years as an Environmental Engineering Specialist; or
- Three years of professional experience in environmental engineering, and a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or a related field with 9 credits in environmental engineering.
Preferred:
- Graduate study in environmental engineering or a closely related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
