About the Role
As an Environmental Engineer / Operations Support Specialist, you will bridge the gap between field operations and project engineering, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and proper execution of scope. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support, planning maintenance activities, developing scopes of work for contractors, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mentoring wellfield technicians.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in environmental field operations, landfill gas systems, or infrastructure O&M.
- Strong understanding of LFG collection systems, wellfield balancing, and environmental monitoring.
- Proficiency in preparing scopes of work, technical specifications, and contractor coordination.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions and terrain.
Preferred:
- SWANA LFG Basics or equivalent technical training.
- 40-hour OSHA Health & Safety (HAZWOPER) certification and annual refresher.
- Prior experience supervising or supporting landfill gas technicians.
- Experience with environmental reporting, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with gas extraction infrastructure.
