Summary
Qorvo, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer to join their team in Richardson, TX. The role involves supporting all aspects of risk-based EHS programs and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
About the Role
As an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving EHS programs, conducting hazard assessments, preparing reports, leading incident investigations, and conducting audits. You will collaborate with various departments to promote EHS compliance and create a safe workplace.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related field of study.
- 5+ years of hands-on EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably semiconductor or high-tech industry.
- Working knowledge of general industry safety regulations (29 CFR 1910).
- Technical knowledge in hazardous materials management, fire and electrical safety, risk assessment, and emergency response.
- Technical knowledge in environmental management including Air, Water, Waste, and DOT requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and creative skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office products.
Preferred:
- Experience as a Laser Safety Officer (LSO) and/or Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
- General Industry OSHA 10-hour certification.
- Experience working within ISO 14001/45001 Management Systems.
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing principles.
