TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Intern for their Summer 2026 intern program in New Providence, NJ. The role involves supporting various environmental project tasks under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders.
About the Role
As an Environmental Intern, you will assist with regulatory requirements, data management, fieldwork including groundwater and soil sampling, and engineering calculations. The internship will consist of 25-50% fieldwork and 50-75% office work, providing a comprehensive experience in environmental services.
About You
Required:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid technical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Positive attitude and readiness to learn.
Preferred:
- Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCad, MathCad, ESRI, HydroCad, WaterCad, ARCView GIS, etc.).
- OSHA 40 hour safety or 30 hour OSHA safety training.
- Clean driving record.
