As an Environmental Planner, you will prepare environmental impact reports, GIS maps, and land use permit applications. You will coordinate with regulatory authorities, organize community outreach events, and present project information in public forums. The position emphasizes collaboration with a team of professionals and may involve assisting on various projects beyond primary responsibilities.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in the environmental consulting or public service field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act and National Environmental Policy Act.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Certification or working towards AICP, CFM or CEP certifications.
- Solid GIS skills.
- Working knowledge of data collection methods (e.g., GPS).
