As an Environmental Scientist/Specialist, you will work collaboratively with clients from various sectors, including government and commercial, to manage natural resources effectively. Your responsibilities will include invasive plant species control, native plant installation, shoreline stabilization, and habitat restoration. The position requires outdoor work in various weather conditions and may involve operating heavy equipment.
About You
Required:
- Possession of a Minnesota Department of Agriculture Certified Pesticide Applicators License.
- A degree in biology, botany, ecology, conservation, environmental science, or related fields.
- Three to five years of experience in ecological restoration.
- Driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
Preferred:
- Natural resource consulting experience.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forestry mowers and tractors.
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
- CDL Class A Driver.
- Experience leading crews of 1-4 people.
