Gila Regional Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Service Worker to join their team in Silver City, NM. The role involves sanitation and disinfection of all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, offices, and surgical services.
About the Role
As an Environmental Service Worker, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, waiting areas, and surgical services. Your daily tasks will include wiping down surfaces, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disposing of trash and biohazard materials. You will also follow safety precautions and procedures, including the use of protective equipment, and may be required to drive while performing your duties.
About You
Required:
Valid Driver’s License at class 'D' or above for positions that require driving.
Must be 18 years old to start.
Ability to read and understand instruction labels.
Ability to communicate clearly with staff and patients.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Preferred:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience.
Hazardous Materials Training within 90 days of hire.
