About the Role
As an Equipment Operator I, you will be responsible for operating public works vehicles and equipment, performing construction and maintenance tasks, and completing other duties as assigned. You will need to demonstrate the ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions and operate heavy equipment safely and properly.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma and two years of experience in public works construction and maintenance activities, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Massachusetts CDL Class B drivers license required, with an air brake endorsement.
- Working knowledge of public works equipment operations and mechanics.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions.
Preferred:
- Massachusetts Class 4G Hoisting License.
- Massachusetts 2B and IC Hydraulic license.
- Knowledge of traffic laws.
- Skill in the effective and efficient use of equipment and machinery.
