KBR Careers is seeking an Equipment Support Team Mechanic (Engineer Heavy Equip) to join their team in Camp Lejeune, NC. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy machinery used on construction sites.
About the Role
As an Equipment Support Team Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance checks, troubleshooting malfunctions, and replacing worn parts on heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes. You will also conduct high-level preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline engines, troubleshoot MVAC systems, and provide technical assistance and training to lower-level mechanics. This position requires travel up to 70% of the time and the ability to be deployable within 72 hours.
About You
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Five years of directly related work experience.
- Completion of the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course or equivalent.
- Completion of MVAC or equivalent course and hold a valid certificate.
- Ability to use technical manuals, specifications, and measuring instrumentation.
- Must maintain a valid passport and State Drivers License.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- U.S. Citizen.
Preferred:
- Experience with heavy machinery maintenance and repair.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tactical Operator License.
- Experience in providing technical assistance and training.
