About the Role

As an ER-2 Research Pilot, you will be responsible for flying sorties for NASA and its customers, ensuring quality products and safe operations. You will conduct full-time pilot duties on the ER-2 and other assigned aircraft, maintain performance standards, participate in training, and perform necessary on-site tasks for safe operations.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, physical science, life science, or mathematics.
Possess an FAA commercial pilot license with instrument, multiengine, and single engine land ratings.
Logbook verifying a minimum of 1,500 hours of pilot in command (PIC) time.
Must be able to pass random drug screenings.
Possess a current US passport valid through the period of employment.
Must meet the security requirements of the position and pass a NASA Flight Medical Certification.

Preferred:

Formal military training in expected duties or applicable civilian experience.
At least 1,000 hours in the U-2 and have been a current U-2 pilot within the past five years.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
