Summary
Wohlsen Construction Company is seeking an Estimator II to join their team in Berwyn, PA. The role involves accurately estimating project costs and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful bid submissions.
About the Role
As an Estimator II, you will mentally build projects, establish anticipated costs, and execute strategies for bid pursuits. You will work closely with the Estimating and Preconstruction Team, review bid documents, prepare complete estimates, and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Additionally, you will participate in meetings, develop value engineering concepts, and assist in training and mentoring other estimators.
About You
Required:
- Advanced understanding of building construction types including structural systems, building skin and exterior systems, various finishes, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, leadership qualities, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of construction management, architecture, or engineering.
- Experience with estimating software such as Sage Estimating, Assemble, Bluebeam, and Planswift.
