About the Role
As an Executive Underwriter, you will be responsible for risk selection, managing agent/broker relationships, portfolio management, documenting deals, and providing leadership to less experienced underwriters. You will evaluate and assess business applications for insurance, negotiate deals, and maintain a profitable book of business through effective decision-making and relationship management.
About You
Required:
- Construction Casualty underwriting experience strongly preferred.
- Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
- A minimum of 2.5 years, typically 3 or more years, of progressive underwriting experience and/or other related experience.
- Proven analytical ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks.
Preferred:
- CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and underwriting profitable business.
