About the Role
As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during treatment procedures, perform restorative procedures, coronal polishing, and sealant placement. You will prepare treatment rooms, provide chairside assistance, take and develop dental radiographs, maintain patient records, ensure compliance with infection control protocols, and educate patients on oral hygiene techniques.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) and X-ray Certification in Ohio.
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant.
- Supply ordering experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated, punctual, and a team player.
- Experience with Open Dental preferred.
- Proficiency in dental assistant terminology and procedures.
