About the Role
As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up and operating woodworking machinery, assembling components, applying finishes, and ensuring quality control throughout the manufacturing process. You will also estimate material requirements and confer with customers to determine project specifications.
About You
Required:
- Proven experience in woodworking and fabricating wood products.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and work orders.
- Expertise in measuring, marking, and cutting wood to exact specifications.
- Skilled in assembling wood components and installing hardware.
- Ability to work with various finishing techniques, including staining, painting, and lacquering.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
Preferred:
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues during the fabrication process.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy wood pieces and work with physical stamina.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements.
