Summary
Saab is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join their team in Syracuse, NY. The role involves managing the Corporate National Industrial Security Program to ensure a superior security posture for Saab, Inc. and its U.S. divisions.
About the Role
As a Facility Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining DoD program compliance, interpreting policies, providing Industrial Security guidance, ensuring data compliance, coordinating onboarding and out-processing activities, performing self-inspections, managing reporting requirements, participating in the insider threat program, and developing security education programs. You will also produce documentation and provide research and technical support to projects.
About You
Required:
- BA/BS degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or MA/MS degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or relevant experience.
- Must possess an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Expert knowledge of security systems of record in coordination with DISS, NISS, NBIS.
- Expert knowledge of the NISPOM and ability to interpret government policy.
- Experience providing briefings to large audiences and Executive Leadership.
Preferred:
- Experience with Foreign Ownership Control and Influence and Special Security Agreements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency.
