Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) is seeking a Facility System Engineer – Engineer II (Mechanical or Electrical Engineer) to join their team at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) in Mercury, NV. The role involves supporting the design, construction, and commissioning of testbeds at an underground nuclear facility.
About the Role
As a Facility System Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the PULSE facility can execute national-level experiments related to nuclear weapons safety and effectiveness. Your tasks will include developing system design documents, maintaining system operational readiness, and providing technical support for various facility systems. You will also oversee inspections, validate system configurations, and contribute to problem-solving efforts using established engineering practices.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering program accredited by ABET for Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in engineering.
- Ability to interpret codes and standards within the engineering discipline.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated desire to learn and innovate.
- Knowledge of hoists, fire protection systems, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
