About the Role
As a Fall Weekend Program Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating various program areas, leading evening activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of camp logistics. You will work closely with other volunteers and staff to create an inclusive and safe environment for campers, while also participating in mandatory training and committing to seven weekends of service between September and November.
About You
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physically and mentally capable of handling the care of campers.
- Familiar with and able to enforce all safety, emergency, and camp policies.
- Ability to work with a diverse community in a multicultural environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in leading group activities or programs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides “a different kind of healing” to more than 25,000 seriously ill children and family members annually – all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn., in 40 hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities, and through other outreach activities across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
