Embrace Alabama Kids is seeking a Family Intervention Specialist to join their team in Crestview, FL. The role involves working closely with families at risk of losing their children due to various issues, providing targeted interventions to prevent removal or facilitate reunification.
About the Role
As a Family Intervention Specialist, you will be responsible for initiating face-to-face contact with assigned families, coordinating treatment plans, conducting in-home assessments, and providing support and resources to families. You will also participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure availability for families 24/7, and maintain accurate case records and documentation.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, human and child development, counseling, sociology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of paid experience working with children, families, and/or youth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:
- Experience with Motivational Interviewing methodology.
- Familiarity with community resources and services for families.
