About the Role

As a Family Support Peer Specialist, you will be responsible for visiting families in their homes, providing education in parenting and home management skills, and assisting families in accessing community resources. You will also supervise visitations between parents and children, promote parental resilience, and maintain ongoing communication with clients and social workers. Your work will involve developing supportive relationships with caregivers, helping families stabilize and prevent out-of-home placements, and participating in team meetings and training.

About You

Required:

A bachelor's degree in human services, Social Work, Counseling or a related field, or less than a bachelor's degree with 3 years of home visiting experience.
Experience working with family dynamics and culturally diverse families in a home-based environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with proof of insurance for work-related travel.

Preferred:

Bi-lingual in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Portuguese.
Experience with social service delivery teams and knowledge of personal and client safety.
