About the Role
As a Fiber Splicer, you will perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks both aerial and underground. Your responsibilities will include testing, activating, and troubleshooting network circuits post-installation, ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards, and documenting work through daily production reports. You will also provide guidance to other splicers and perform basic maintenance on vehicles.
About You
Required:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
- Valid State driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam.
- At least two years of fiber splicing experience.
Preferred:
- Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber.
- Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.
