Foxconn is seeking a Field Application Engineer (FAE) with a mechanical and electronic background to join their North America team in San Jose, CA. The role involves serving as the primary technical interface between Foxconn and customers, providing application support and technical solutions.
About the Role
As a Field Application Engineer, you will collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to identify and resolve customer technical issues. Your responsibilities will include delivering product presentations, providing technical training, supporting customers with system design and integration, assisting in new product introductions, and managing pre- and post-sales support activities.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in mechanical or electronic system applications.
- Solid understanding of mechanical components, electronic circuits, and system-level integration.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 30%).
Preferred:
- Experience working with manufacturing clients or OEM/ODM environments.
- Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and circuit analysis software.
- Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a strong plus.
