Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Engineer - Rotary UPS to join their team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role involves specializing in rotary UPS power system distribution builds, mechanical and generator integration, system integration, start-ups, and preventative maintenance programs.
About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer - Rotary UPS, you will lead and perform on-site startup, commissioning, and preventative maintenance of RUPS systems, troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues, and provide technical support to customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate technologies and ensure optimal performance of power systems in various environments.
About You
Required:
- BSEE or MSEE
- Minimum 4 years of field experience working with RUPS-UPS power systems, rotary systems, or generator-based power systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- NFPA 70E certification
Preferred:
- Prior experience in commissioning engineering, power systems integration, or generator field service
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Strong desire to grow and develop with a passion for providing excellent customer service
