Summary
Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Engineer - Rotary UPS to join their team in Seattle, WA. The role involves specializing in rotary UPS power system distribution builds, mechanical and generator integration, system integration, start-ups, and preventative maintenance programs.
About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer - Rotary UPS, you will lead and perform on-site startup, commissioning, and preventative maintenance of RUPS systems, including generator integration and facility electrical infrastructure. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues, interface with clients and contractors, and ensure compliance with safety standards. This role requires extensive travel to customer sites across North America.
About You
Required:
- BSEE or MSEE
- Minimum 4 years of field experience working with RUPS-UPS power systems, rotary systems, or generator-based power systems.
- Prior experience in commissioning engineering, power systems integration, or generator field service strongly preferred.
- 4 years’ experience as an electrical engineer
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- NFPA 70E certification
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Strong desire to grow and develop with a passion for providing excellent customer service
