Summary
Olympus Corporation is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The role involves servicing and maintaining all product lines for Olympus America medical products, providing expert technical support.
About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, respond to inquiries, train customers on product operation, perform installations and troubleshooting, and maintain communication with sales representatives. You will also provide support at conventions and maintain field contact with key customers.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree in electronics, computer science or related technical discipline or four plus years of equivalent experience.
- Minimum one to three years as a Field Service Engineer or equivalent experience.
- Must be a self-starter, able to travel on short notice and work independently.
- Ability to resolve problems and communicate professionally in high-pressure environments.
- Basic understanding of computer systems and electromechanical products.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Ability to travel overnight (>40%).
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree.
- CompTIA Net+ or CompTIA A+ certification.
- Working knowledge of networking and hospital information systems.
- Experience with video display and routing systems.
