Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician – Skillbridge Opportunity to join their team in various locations including Chicago, IL, Detroit, MI, and Newark, NJ. The role involves supporting fuel cell products in electric lift trucks through maintenance, diagnostics, and customer interaction.
About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and servicing of fuel cells, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing emergency support. You will also handle parts ordering, maintain communication with customers, and complete necessary documentation while ensuring safety procedures are followed.
About You
Required:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
- Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Must possess a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis unassisted.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications.
- General mechanical aptitude.
- Computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Dynamic interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
