Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Technician - Level 2 or 3 to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The role involves hands-on field service work at customer sites, focusing on the installation and commissioning of IEM equipment.
About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for attending project meetings, installing and modifying electrical or mechanical components, performing basic testing and commissioning of switchboards and control panels, troubleshooting electrical circuits, and providing technical product support. You will also coordinate with project managers and perform preventive maintenance and field installations.
About You
Required:
- A technical degree or equivalent and 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, data center, or field service role with commissioning of LV/MV electrical switchgear.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Ability to travel 75% and work evenings and weekends when needed.
- Experience with switchgear and electrical controls systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
Preferred:
- Military experience.
