Burwell Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team in Chesapeake, VA. The role involves servicing and repairing forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial lifts, and other equipment at customer sites.
About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various warehouse vehicles, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and performing preventative maintenance. You will work independently while receiving ongoing training and support from a strong team. Your daily tasks will include using diagnostic tools, promoting service offerings, and maintaining your service vehicle and tools.
About You
Required:
Prior experience in forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive repair.
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred:
Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and meet the physical demands of the job.
Willingness to travel within the assigned service territory.
