Summary
IPG is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team in Vandalia, OH. The role involves providing technical support to national accounts, distributors, and end users, as well as training customers on packaging equipment.
About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance of packaging equipment. You will train customers on the operation and maintenance of various equipment, establish preventive maintenance programs, and assist in the development of technical sales best practices. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance in client meetings and handle technical support calls.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree in technology field, e.g. mechanical, electrical, electronics, or equivalent experience.
- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year.
Preferred:
- Skilled in the use of PC applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical people.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
