Omnicell is seeking a Field Services Engineer II to join their team in Fairfax, VA. The role involves supporting pharmacy and supply automation systems that directly impact patient care through troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
About the Role
As a Field Services Engineer, you will work independently in hospital environments to ensure system reliability by performing troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs. You will build strong relationships with nursing and pharmacy leadership, support product innovation, mentor junior technicians, and maintain operational excellence through accurate documentation and inventory management.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or related discipline; or Associates Degree/Trade School Certification/Military Training in an Engineering/Technology related discipline; or five years equivalent experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.
- For FSE II: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or related discipline AND one year of relevant experience; OR Associates Degree/Trade School Certification/Military Training in an Engineering/Technology related discipline, AND four years of relevant experience; OR seven years equivalent experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.
Preferred:
- Hands-on repairs, troubleshooting, root cause analysis experience working on pneumatic or hydraulic complex machinery.
- Experience working in a high volume environment that requires 24/7 on call support.
- Passion for trade based work.
- Experience working in a hospital environment.
