Summary
Cognizant is seeking a Field Services Engineer to join their team in Durham, NC. The role involves providing support for handhelds, laptops, and scanner devices, as well as performing Install Move Add Change (IMAC) and Break-Fix activities.
About the Role
As a Field Services Engineer, you will be responsible for providing end user support activities, including troubleshooting complex client computing problems, staging and imaging systems, and managing IT asset lifecycle. You will also provide smart hands and feet support across teams, ensure network connectivity, and coordinate with vendors for maintenance activities.
About You
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of desk side support services experience.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Windows Operating System.
- Good communication and analytic/troubleshooting skills.
Preferred:
- Basic knowledge of networks, telecom, and compute/storage.
- Experience in supporting manufacturing/lab IT systems and devices.
- Advanced Microsoft skills (server support, etc.).
