About the Role
As the Finance Director, you will inherit an award-winning Finance Department and oversee six full-time employees and two part-time employees. You will be responsible for municipal accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and debt services. The successful candidate will engage with staff, the City Council, and management to align with the City’s vision and values, and will serve as a key member of the City Manager’s Team.
About You
Required:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business.
- Five or more years of experience in North Carolina public finance administration.
Preferred:- Master's degree, CPA, and/or LGFA certification.
- Experience in payroll and Human Resources.
