About the Role
As a Financial Counselor I, you will be responsible for establishing payment arrangements with patients, completing financial assistance applications, verifying insurance eligibility, and responding to patient inquiries regarding account balances and billing concerns. You will also maintain account documentation, coordinate with other departments to resolve account issues, and ensure a positive patient financial experience throughout the continuum of care.
About You
Required:
- 0-2 years of experience in healthcare registration, billing, collections, or a related field required.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance verification processes.
Preferred:
- 2-4 years of experience in financial counseling or insurance verification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service focus.
