EY is seeking a Tax Manager for their Wealth and Asset Management practice, located anywhere in the country. The role involves managing tax compliance and advisory work for clients in the financial services industry.
About the Role
As a Tax Manager, you will coordinate tax compliance and advisory work, focusing on domestic federal, international, and state and local taxation. You will manage tax compliance accounts for hedge funds and private equity funds, review securities analysis, and ensure the accurate production of K-1s and partnership tax returns. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing partnership agreements for tax implications and managing day-to-day activities across various locations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience, or an advanced degree in tax or law with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience.
- CPA license or a licensed Attorney, or the ability to achieve either within one year from hire date.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with the financial services industry through direct involvement with managed investment vehicles.
- Broad exposure to federal income taxation and state and local tax.
Preferred:
- Excellent managerial, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in mentoring and training others.
