Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Alarm & Security Technician to join their team in Charleston, SC. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision.
About the Role
As a Fire Alarm & Security Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining fire alarm systems, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring compliance with fire alarm codes and standards. You will use various tools and equipment to repair or replace components, communicate with customers, and maintain safety protocols. The position requires on-call availability for emergency service requests and participation in ongoing training to stay updated on industry standards.
About You
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2 years of Fire Life Safety Industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm.
NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred:
NICET or state-specific certification.
2 years of professional computer skills.
2 years using business intelligence systems, Sage 300 CRE, or similar.
