About the Role
As a Fire Alarm Apprentice, you will be responsible for installing or upgrading fire alarms in commercial and residential buildings, testing and repairing existing alarm systems, performing inspections to ensure compliance with fire codes, and preparing detailed inspection reports. You will also respond to emergency service calls and maintain a clean and safe workspace while adhering to company safety procedures.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of one year experience in fire alarm related experience.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Reliable transportation to/from the office or job site.
- Flexibility with scheduling requirements, including evenings, weekends, and out-of-town assignments.
Preferred:
- Ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs.
- Ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to use or repair small/light equipment, such as power tools and ladders.
