About the Role
As a Fire and Life Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for designing automatic fire sprinkler systems, fire detection, and alarm systems. You will prepare technical memorandums and reports, review fire safety drawings for compliance, produce project specifications, and lead technical assignments. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with construction teams to address field issues.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in designing fire protection systems for commercial, industrial or mission critical/data center buildings.
- Experience mentoring and training others in the field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of fire protection, mechanical and building codes.
- Knowledge of energy storage systems.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems and codes.
- Attention to detail, highly organized, self-starter.
Preferred:
- Registered Fire Protection Engineer (PE).
- Mission Critical/Data Center experience.
- Experience with international projects.
