Amentum is seeking a Fire Captain to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The role involves executing policies and serving as the Entry Team Officer at emergency incidents.
About the Role
As a Fire Captain, you will work with the Assistant Fire Chief to plan and develop policies for the Platoon, supervise a Fire Station, respond to emergencies, direct the work of employees, ensure compliance with guidelines, and instruct on emergency response procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining firefighting equipment and may assume the duties of the Assistant Fire Chief when assigned.
About You
Required:
- 3–5 years experience in fire protection/prevention.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- State of Nevada Firefighter I and II certification.
- Valid State of Nevada Emergency Medical Technician I certification.
- Ability to obtain and maintain OSHA Materials Levels I, II, III and V certification.
- Computer literate in common software applications.
- Physically fit to withstand extreme conditions and perform strenuous tasks.
- Valid State of Nevada Driver's License with 'F' endorsement within 90 days.
Preferred:
- Technical Fire Protection/Prevention training.
- Knowledge of the Hawthorne Army Depot layout.
