YER HR Solutions is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join their team in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, South Carolina Area. The role involves designing fire protection systems that safeguard people, infrastructure, and operations in high-risk environments.
About the Role
As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and specifying fire protection systems, performing hydraulic calculations and fire modeling, ensuring compliance with safety codes, conducting fire hazard analyses, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will also support construction administration and participate in fire investigations when required.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years of fire protection engineering experience in consulting or design environments.
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA standards (NFPA 13, 72, 101).
- Ability to manage technical work while collaborating with cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Experience with Revit and fire modeling tools (such as FDS).
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
