About the Role
As a Fire Protection Specialist 3, you will support the ES-FPF Operations Manager Technical Support with the Los Alamos Fire Department and facility requirements. Your responsibilities include coordinating fire department activities, providing professional guidance in interpreting regulations, developing reports related to the fire protection program, and representing the laboratory at various agencies. You will also conduct analyses and prepare recommendations for management.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with customers in fire protection disciplines.
- Proven ability in reading and interpreting policy and regulation documents.
- Demonstrated proficiency in common computer-based software.
Preferred:
- NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist curriculum completion within one year of hire date.
- DOE Fire Service experience.
- DOE Q-Clearance.
- Knowledge of NFPA 1620 and NFPA 1660 standards.
