Summary
Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Service Technician to join their team in Livermore, CA. The role involves diagnosing and repairing electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products.
About the Role
As a Fire Service Technician, you will receive service calls, diagnose problems, perform repairs, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work with various fire and life safety systems, interpret technical documents, and participate in on-call rotations. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in challenging environments.
About You
Required:
- 6+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and operational/product manuals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- NICET I certification.
Preferred:
- NICET Level II certification strongly preferred.
