About the Role
As a Firefighter / EMT, you will be responsible for responding to structural fires, aircraft incidents, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials incidents. You will provide BLS care under New Mexico EMT protocols, assist paramedics, and operate within the Incident Command System. Daily duties include performing equipment checks, maintaining inventory, completing documentation, and participating in drills and training.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Firefighter I (IFSAC or ProBoard) certification.
- New Mexico EMT-Basic certification (AEMT or Paramedic preferred).
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to obtain ARFF certification.
- Must pass a background check and meet Spaceport America (ITAR) clearance requirements.
- Physically capable of performing strenuous tasks in PPE/SCBA and in desert operational conditions.
Preferred:
- Firefighter II (IFSAC or ProBoard) certification.
- ARFF certification (IFSAC, ProBoard, or DOD).
- ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications.
- Familiarity with aerospace or industrial firefighting environments.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and situational awareness.
