Personnel Board of Jefferson County is seeking a Firefighter to join their team in the Greater Birmingham, Alabama Area. The role involves combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires, as well as responding to emergency medical calls and rescue operations.
About the Role
As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for protecting lives and property by responding to various emergency and non-emergency calls. Your duties will include maintaining fire station equipment, conducting fire safety activities, administering healthcare, and participating in training and community outreach. You will work under established policies and procedures, with your performance reviewed by senior officers.
About You
Required:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a high school diploma or a G.E.D. certificate.
No felony convictions.
Driver's license.
Preferred:
(Pro Board or IFSAC) Certified Firefighter I or Firefighter I/II as recognized by Alabama Fire College.
